Learjet 60

Learjet is an American business jet manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace.  It is an improved version of the Learjet 55.

The Learjet 55’s modification to Model 60 resulted from an aerodynamics improvement program and a need to increase the capacity of the Learjet product line.  The Learjet 60 does not have the range for direct transoceanic flights from the United States, although it can cross the Atlantic from Newfoundland to the British Isles.  The Learjet 60’s maiden flight was on June 1991 and was introduced on January 1993.  A new Learjet 60 costs $13 million, while used aircraft can be purchased for $7 million.

The Learjet 60 has a crew of 2 and has a seating capacity of 8 to 10 passengers.  It has a maximum speed of 534 mph and a range of 2,876 mi.  It incorporates two Pratt & Whitney 305A.
